FAQs

Can I bring my partner, friend or family member?

Yes, on many of our retreats there is the opportunity to bring your partner - or perhaps share a room with a friend or sister or mother or grandmother, for example! Although our focus is on the mothers, we absolutely welcome male partners. In some instances, retreats may be women only. This will be specified in the information.

Can I bring more than one child?

Absolutely! There is a small fee for additional children and sometimes for additional sleeping arrangements also.

What age does my child need to be?

Theta Retreats welcomes children of all ages, however in our experience children tend to be between 2 and 6 years old. Babies under 2 year will require 1:1 childcare which is provided at an additional fee.

I’m a beginner to yoga - does that matter?

Not at all! Jocie’s classes are suitable for all levels and all bodies. She cares deeply about making yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone so expect creative flows that meet you where you are at.

Do I need to bring yoga equipment?

All yoga equipment is provided on our retreats, but you are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.

I love the sound of this but my financial situation does not allow at this time. Is there anything I can do?

We completely understand that times are really tough at the moment. We are open to discussing payment plans for our retreats if that eases the financial burden. We are also working on a scholarship scheme for less advantaged mothers for future retreats.

What’s included in the price?

All food, all accommodation, all childcare and all yoga classes are included in the price. Sometimes the price will also include a group workshop or a child’s workshop or yoga class.

Not included are: Flights, transfers, (unless specified), massage and beauty treatments, (unless specified), and additional or extended childcare.

I’m nervous about leaving my child with people they do not know. What if there are issues with this?

Of course it is nerve wracking leaving your children with unfamiliar people. All of our childcarers are sourced diligently and compassionate care-giving is at the heart of what we do is. You will have the chance to meet our our childcarers on the first morning, and then before drop off every day you can chat to your child’s key carer about their specific needs. Each carer will have between 1-2 children (exceptionally 3) and babies will have 1:1 care. They will be looked after usually on site, near to the yoga location but not so near that you will be distracted by them!

Of course if your child is unhappy or really needs their mama, we make sure you are informed.

My child is a fussy easter, can you cater for that?

Our kitchen staff are ready for the no-broccoli-brigade! Jokes aside, whether your child is a veggie lover, or is going trough an, ‘only eats beige food’, phase - we will try to cater for them. The kids menu is healthy, fun and always appealing to most little tastebuds.
